Popeater got the chance to chat exclusively with Morena after V’s premiere. They talked about the show, her character, her haircut, Firefly and whether or not she would want to work with Joss Whedon again. Here is an excerpt.

It certainly was! You know, I just read that your ‘Firefly’ costar Nathan Fillion asked you to do a ‘Castle’ guest spot. I know you couldn’t do it, but would you do one in the future?
“I don’t know. We’ve been texting each other and I know he’s really excited about the prospect. It’s an ABC show and I don’t know how ABC would feel about that, so we’d have to run it by them. It’s just a conversation that he and I have been having. I don’t know if anything is actually being considered. But it would be fun and I would love to.”

He did a little nod to ‘Firefly’ in the Halloween episode…
“Yeah! I heard about it but I didn’t see it.”

Thanks to Amber for sending me the link to this. Morena’s portrayal of Anna on V seems to be generating a lot of buzz. Yahoo! TV‘s Claudine Zap wrote a lovely article about her, so be sure to check it out. Here’s a preview.

Even if you didn’t watch the season opener, you may recognize Morena Baccarin from the promos for the show: She’s the enormous serene head projected on a hovering spacecraft with a message to earthlings: “We mean no harm.”

But don’t you believe it. What you can believe is this: The actress is scoring out-of-this-world searches on the Web. Lookups on the rising star soared up an astronomical 4,580% in one-day searches on Yahoo!, making the “V” headliner one of the top five searches on the Web. The buzz is paying off: A whopping 13.9 million viewers tuned in, making it one of the highest-rated new shows this season.

First of all, apologies for the gallery down time (I was in class and couldn’t address the issue until now). In better news, however, I have added more stills from episode three of “V”.

Some awesome news for you guys!

So much for those promises of peace. V destroyed the competition last night.

The drama’s long-awaited arrival drew nearly 14 million viewers, making it the second most-watched series premiere of the season (behind NCIS: LA’s 18.7 million).

Although NCIS grabbed the total viewers crown (19.4 million), V easily walked off with the night’s highest adult 18-49 numbers. In fact, V marked ABC’s best 18-49 performance in the time period in three years.

Did you watch? Will you keep watching?
