Michael Rosenbaum is going ‘Back in the Day’ with a new exclusive poster for his upcoming comedy. The movie, which will be released in Indiana on January 10, 2014, and expand to national theaters and VOD on January 17, is the feature film directorial and writing debuts for the ‘Smallville’ actor. The filmmaker also stars in the movie, alongside Morena Baccarin, Nick Swardson, Harland Williams, Jay R. Ferguson, Sarah Colona, Liz Carey and Isaiah Mustafa.
‘Back in the Day’ follows Jim Owens, played by Rosenbaum, a somewhat successful Hollywood actor who’s dealing with the grind of everyday life. But in an effort to help him move forward with his life, he listens to his friends and returns home to Indiana to attend his high school reunion.
Not only does Jim have to contend with his old friends, he also must deal with his old flames and rivalries as he relieves his glory days. But he begins to ponder if going back was the right decision, as the over-the-top weekend of beer-fueled barbeques and hitting the strip leads to taking revenge on an old high school principal, and nearly breaking up a wedding.

Congratulations to Morena and Austin!
It’s a boy!
Actress Morena Baccarin and her husband Austin Chick welcomed their first child, a son, on Tuesday, Oct. 22, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
Born in Glendale, Calif., Julius weighed in at just under eight pounds.
“Julius and his mother are happy and healthy,” the rep adds.
Despite being breech, the Homeland actress successfully delivered her baby boy naturally with the help of Dr. Ronald Wu at Glendale Adventist Medical Center. He is the only doctor in the Los Angeles area who offers expectant mothers the option to birth a breech baby in a hospital.
“I’m so happy I was able to deliver with Dr. Wu,” Baccarin, 34, tells PEOPLE. “Breech delivery is a dying art and he gave me the birth experience I wanted.”
The Emmy-nominated actress announced her pregnancy in May.
via Deadline:
Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville, Breaking In) wrote, directed, and stars in the raunchy high school reunion comedy Back In The Day, which Screen Media Films scooped up and will release to theaters and on VOD. Morena Baccarin, Nick Swardson, Harland Williams, Sarah Colonna, and Isaiah Mustafa co-star in Rosenbaum’s helming debut, which follows Jim Owens (Rosenbaum) as he hits his high school reunion and wrangles his now-married friends together to relive their glory days, landing him in hot water with his pals and their wives. Rosenbaum shot the pic in Newburgh and Evansville, Indiana, where he grew up. Kim Waltrip produced for Kim and Jim Productions alongside Rose and Bomb Production. Screen Media has set an ultra VOD date of January 7, 2014 followed by a February 7, 2014 theatrical debut. Screen Media’s Suzanne Blech and Seth Needle negotiated the deal with Will Lowery repping the filmmakers. Rosenbaum is repped by APA, Untitled and Morris Yorn Barnes Levine Krintzman Rubenstein Kohner & Gellman.
From USA Today:
Morena Baccarin admits she’s ready for her baby to arrive.
“I’m getting tired and uncomfortable,” she says in an interview ahead of Sunday’s third-season premiere for Showtime’s Homeland.
And don’t ask about whether she and her hubby, director Austin Chick, are having a boy or a girl. “We know, but we’re keeping it a secret,” says Baccarin, with a sly smile.
The actress, who joked with USA TODAY’s Andrea Mandell about having “cankles” by the time Sunday’s Emmys were over, says having to film Homeland while pregnant wasn’t exactly what she had planned.
Because her character, Jessica Brody, is married to Nicholas Brody, who was last seen leaving the country in the wake of a CIA bombing, she was initially told by writers that she shouldn’t expect much screen time.
I have added a bunch of photos from pre-Emmy events, the Emmys themselves and the after party that Morena attended. Unfortunately, Morena and Homeland did not win big last night (co-star Claire Danes did win, however, and the show won an award for writing), but it is a huge honor to have been nominated.
