TVLine recently spoke with Morena about her return to The Mentalist, her upcoming guest spot on The Good Wife and what’s coming up in Homeland season two. There’s also a clip of last night’s episode of The Mentalist for those of you who didn’t get to watch it.

TVLINE | When we spoke during Homeland‘s first season, you hadn’t seen your new Mentalist script but speculated that Erica Flynn had perhaps dodged prison. It would seem you guessed wrong.
Yes, I did. [Laughs] I guess there was too much evidence. But you know she always finds her way out of these things. She always finds a way.

TVLINE | How long a stint is she serving?
A long time. I think 20-to-life? So she’s angling to get out for a few days so she can enjoy her last breath of real life and fresh air, in exchange for helping [CBI] catch a killer.

TVLINE | What sort of case is at hand, and what information does she claim to have?
A woman who works at a charitable foundation is murdered, and it turns out that she was a client of Erica’s matchmaking company, so Erica knows a lot about her and the men who were in her life at that time.

Old Days marks Michael Rosenbaum’s (Smallville) feature directorial debut after recently completing first short, Fade Into You, a horror-thriller currently in post-production. Rosenbaum wrote and will direct and star in the new project. Morena Baccarin, who currently appears on the series Homeland will also star in the film which is slated to shoot beginning March 5th with co-stars Sarah Colonna, Harland Williams, Jay Ferguson and Kris Palohu. The film follows Jim Owens (Rosenbaum), a discouraged actor who returns home to Indiana for his 15th high school reunion. There he gets into mischief with his friends and falls for his high school sweetheart (Baccarin). Rosenbaum is producing under the Rose & Bomb Productions banner with Kim Waltrip, whose film Outrun starring Kristen Bell, Bradley Cooper, Dax Shepard, Kristin Chenoweth is scheduled for release on August 24th. Rosenbaum is repped by APA and Untitled.
