Deadpool racked up an impressive 8 nominations for this years MTV Movie Awards, including two that Morena was nominated for (Best Actress and Best Kiss). Be sure to go vote! The show will air on April 10.

Coverage Ink Films’ Tanya Klein and Jim Cirile hit Indiegogo to crowdfund the first U.S.-made animated horror movie Malevolent, which they describe as “Saw meets Groundhog Day.”

“Making a hand-drawn animated movie is expensive,” the website explains. “We have been in production for a year, and we are about 7-8 months away from completion.”

Malevolent stars William Shatner, universally known as Captain James T. Kirk on Star Trek and globally recognized as Denny Crane on Boston Legal, along with Morena Baccarin (Deadpool, Gotham, Firefly), Ray Wise (Twin Peaks, Robocop, Agent Carter), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre II) and Dani Lennon (FearNet/Machinima’s Bite Me). The film also features Florence Hartigan, Ben Siemon, Damien Haas, Tom Lommel, Mark Whitten, Bill Millsap, and Steve Geiger.

She’s done her fair share of sci-fi shows so Morena Baccarin is used to fans geeking out when they meet her. “I’ve had some strange fan encounters, that’s for sure,” says the actress who has Stargate, V and Gotham on her CV and is in this month’s Deadpool movie. “Nothing threatening or terrible but sometimes people ask me to marry them, which is a little odd.”

It’s also highly unlikely Morena would say yes. She’s very much with Ben McKenzie, who she first encountered on the set of The O.C. when she guested on the show in 2006 and who she became romantically involved with after they started working together on Gotham a couple of years ago.
