Access Hollywood interviewed Morena and co-stars Laura Vandervoort and Jane Badler whilst they were in New York for NYCC. They talk about the show, the infamous rat eating scene and much more. Be sure to check them out.

“I wish I had more information for you,” she said (with a notable big beaming smile), when asked about any talks with Joss, specifically about playing The Wasp in the film.

Morena is no stranger to the fan boy community. She was part of the ensemble cast of Joss Whedon’s short-lived FOX series “Firefly,” and its big screen follow-up “Serenity.” Morena now stars in ABC’s reboot of the 80’s sci-fi classic “V” as Anna, the alien lizard Queen of the Visitors.

When genre king Joss Whedon was announced to direct Marvel Studios’ big budget super team-up movie, every past and present name from the Whedon-verse was suddenly thrust into the rumor mill as a candidate for any possible superhero roles still left uncast.

“All I will say is I will never turn down an opportunity to work with him,” she responded when pressed further on the possibility. “He’s one of my favorite people in the world.”

I will try and post some pictures later, but for now all I have found of the V panel at New York Comic Con is a couple of videos (thanks Deb for the e-mail). It was announced earlier today that Morena, along with “V” co-stars Laura Vandervoort and Jane Badler, will be attending New York Comic Con. The dates of the convention are October 8-10 and more information can be found here. The article announcing their appearance can be found here, since I did not see their names listed on the website.

Also, while I don’t really like rumors (or, you know, getting my hopes up), there is talk that Morena has been researching comic books – particularly those involving The Wasp. As most of you probably know, Joss Whedon is directing the upcoming Avengers flick. The full write-up (speculation and all) can be found here. What I want to know is how you all feel about this. Let’s get a discussion going!
