Matt Mitovich of TV Line got the chance to chat with Morena about the season finale of “V” (which is next week), about her character and about what’s to come while she waits to hear about the series’ fate. I will refrain from posting anything that could be considered “spoiler-y”, so read at your own risk!
TVLINE | As an actress playing an emotion-free character, how and where do you find your “moments”?
It’s very challenging. I have to be really specific and know what I’m saying and why I’m saying it and know the emotion behind it, so I can choose not to show it. I know that sounds kind of crazy, but when I have that behind my words you can kind of see it. You know when she’s pissed; I just can’t show it on the surface.
TVLINE | What are your plans for the hiatus?
I’m going to Australia for a convention, so that’s go to be exciting. I’ve never been there. Other than that, I’m in a waiting period, so I can’t really take on much more than an episode of things here and there [such as an upcoming episode of The Mentalist]. I am just hoping that we’ll be shooting V at the end of the summer!

Sure to add more fuel to the fire that Nathan Fillion inadvertently started by letting it slip to EW.com that the first thing he would do if he won the lottery was to buy the rights to FIREFLY and distribute it on the internet… is the news that fellow travelling companion Morena Baccarin would jump at the chance to join him.
“I think it’s awesome that Nathan is so passionate about the show after so many years,” said the actress during a one-on-one with the TV Addict earlier in the day to promote the upcoming season finale of V. “We all really love it and I’m sure not one of us would turn it down if it became a realistic opportunity.”
Of course, Baccarin, who is now close to a decade older since stepping into the shoes of Inara Serra, arguably her most famous small screen alter-ego, did have one concern, “Aren’t we getting too old?”

It looks as if she will be doing a meet and greet the first night of the convention and posing for photos/signing autographs on the second. More information about the event can be found here.

Morena Baccarin will take a break from plotting the downfall of humanity on ABC’s V to take a guest-starring role on an upcoming episode of CBS’ The Mentalist, EW has learned exclusively. Baccarin will play Erica Flynn, described as an “attractive and sexy woman who seems as warm-hearted, sincere, and intelligent as she is lovely.” Baccarin’s character runs a matchmaking business, and may have some dark secrets. Expect attractive-person sparks to fly between Erica and Simon Baker’s Patrick Jane when the episode airs in early April.
