Elle recently sat down with Morena to talk politics and Homeland.

Put Homeland back on your radar. Cameras began rolling on the Charlotte set for season three of the hit drama, which stars ELLE cover girl Claire Danes. Yet, the show’s creators Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa remain tight-lipped about where the torrid international affairs will go next.

“We get the scripts anywhere between three days to a week before the table read and then we start shooting,” Morena Baccarin—who plays Jessica Brody—told us before she left to start filming. “So I don’t know anything. It’s so frustrating. But it would be interesting [given last season’s cliff hanger], if Jessica could find evidence to prove Brody’s innocence, and if she cleared his name for the sake of her kids.”

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until September 29 when the show premieres on Showtime for answers. But Baccarin has taken on another role (slightly outside the realm of Jessica Brody) in support of the Center for Reproductive Rights. She appears in the organization’s “Draw the Line” campaign and latest “Forward” PSA, which urges President Obama to move the Bill of Reproductive Rights ahead.

We sat down with Baccarin to talk growing up liberal in NYC, Fox News, and why everyone on Homeland is past the Brody-Carrie-Jessica love triangle.

I wish she had kept her politics to herself, she could lose fans over this.
