The news has just broken that ABC has cancelled a slough of series, including “V”. This does not come as a surprise, but it is bad news all the same. Best of luck to the cast and crew of “V” in the future.

Friday the 13th turned out to be doomsday for Brothers & Sisters and V: ABC has axed both shows. The Alphabet net also pulled the plug on rookie series No Ordinary Family, Off the Map, Better With You, Detroit 187 and Mr. Sunshine.

Though, as Deadline reported, the network was trying to find a way to bring back B&S for an abridged final season, in the end, the suits elected to free up their post-Desperate Housewives time slot for a new show. As a result, last Sunday’s B&S season finale is now, retroactively, the series’ finale.

V, meanwhile, was on the upswing. Its ratings remained so-so, but after a shaky start, it returned for a second season on solid ground creatively. Heck, it even added to the cast the delectable Jane “Diana” Badler from the ’80s version.

But CBS will do anything to milk 1 more season out of “Two and a half Men”, 1st Summer’s show gets axed now Morena’s. Not a great year to be a Browncoat. 🙁

Maybe this means we’ll finally get a Morena appearance on Castle. At least it’s doing well!

I had a bad feeling this might happen. Heard too many people, even within the scifi community, complain about the storyline. I wasn’t too crazy about it, but the story did pick up speed towards the last half of the season. Hoping for a resolution someday, at least in the form of 2-hour tv movie so we can see how Earth gets out of the predicament the show ended on.

I would be happy with the writers simply telling us what would have happened, or even a comic of sorts. Anything to make up for that cliffhanger of an ending!

Maybe the Syfy channnel might pick it up? It would be a good idea if you look at the crap Syfy has on now. It may not happen since the Syfy channel runs B-Movies and FOX’s canceled scraps, (Firefly, T:TSCC, etc) my guess is only if they can make it for about $10 an episode….cause they’re cheap 🙁

I’m proud to watch Fox’s “cancelled scraps” on the syfy network; especially Firefly, since not only did it bring Morena to the masses, but it was also some of the best work she and other cast members had done in their careers. No matter the “quality” of what people think of the movies or cancelled shows, I’d still rather watch SCIFI on the syfy channel, than wrestling or “reality” shows.
